His parents were the late Sim and Helen Elmore Chambless and he was a veteran of the United States Army.
Survivors include his wife Mable Jordan Chambless of Pulaski, brother Bobby Wayne Chambless of Mobile, AL, and sister Judy Hadder of Jasper, AL.
