Graduated from: Winslow High School, Winslow, Maine

Was active in sports, marching band, school orchestra & jazz band

Served two enlistments in the US Air Force, stationed in Montgomery Alabama. While in the service she was a dental assistant.

After her discharge from the military she worked as a dental assistant in Florence Alabama until 1970 when she decided to return to her home state of Maine. After a year in Maine, she returned to Alabama, her adopted home and the south she so loved. Upon her return to Alabama she worked with her friend Betty Mason in the Mason family dry cleaning business. Later she fulfilled her passion for cooking and feeding people while operating a restaurant and a catering service. Cloukie was an avid reader - one of her favorite sayings was if you could read you could do anything! Cloukie enjoyed spending weekends entertaining friends at her cabin in Tennessee, and chose to live there in her later years. While living in Tennessee she was active in the Pleasant Hill Methodist Church and enjoyed her many friends there. A special thank you to the staff of Meadowbrook Nursing Home.

Cloukie enjoyed life to the fullest and will be missed by her many friends, nieces and nephews.

Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 27, 2017, at 11:00AM at the Carr & Erwin Funeral Home, Pulaski, TN. A committal service will held in Cottle Cemetery at Oakland, Maine at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the United Methodist Children's Home, 3140 Zelda Court, Suite 100, Montgomery, AL 36106-2607
