He was born in Toronto Ontario, Canada on July 16, 1948. He was a member of P.A.C.E., and was preceded in death by his father Thomas Charles Dawes.
Visitation with the family will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday December 10, 2010 at Carr & Erwin Funeral Home. Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday December 11, 2010 at Carr and Erwin Chapel.
Survivors include his mother Fran Dawes of Toronto, Canada, wife Annette Dawes of Pulaski, son Jim Dawes of Barrie, Ontario, daughter Paula Dawes of Barrie, Ontario, brother Bryan Dawes of Toronto, sister Dawn Pollitt of Mississauga, Ontario, grandchildren Jack and Madalyne Dawes.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
