Thomas Allen George

Thomas Allen “Tommy” George, age 37 of Lewisburg passed away December 15, 2017 in a Nashville Hospital. He was formerly of the Rose Hill Community, a graduate of Richland High School, and was a nurse at Popular Estates in Columbia for years before going to NHC Oakwood in Lewisburg.

He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Joe Dean George and Red Lewter, his great grandparents, Jim & Pauline Hindman, and Bessie and Jim George, and his half-brother, Justin Lewter.

Survivors include his partner, William Brown “Billiam” Lanier of Lewisburg, his grandmother, Urshula Elizabeth George Holt of Rose Hill, his mother and step father, Patricia Marie and Gregory Dean Chapman of Ohio, his father, Jimmy Darrelle Lewter of Florida, and step mother Theresa Lewter of Murfreesboro, his sister Kattie Annette Graham of Ohio, his aunt Gloria Diane George of Ethridge, his cousins who were more like siblings to him, Travis Ray Yokley of Rose Hill, Ashley Leighanne Young of Pulaski, and Josh Lane Yokley of Rose Hill, his step sister, Jennifer Swayze of Murfreesboro, and his partner’s parents, Billy and Kathy Lanier of Lewisburg, his 22 nieces and nephews, and numerous loved ones.

The family will receive friends and guests at the Welcome Valley Baptist Church on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will begin at 3:00 p.m
