Willie Ruth Chapman, age 89, passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2016, at Meadowbrook Healthcare Center. She was born in Campbellsville, TN on May 2, 1927; she lived in Pulaski, TN for most of her life. She was a member of Richland Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents John Calvin and Mary Burks Goats, her husband James Chapman Jr., her son Billy Gene Chapman, and her brothers Flournoy, Charlie, and David Goats.
She is survived by her daughters, Linda Knox of Pulaski, TN, and Barbara Owen and Husband Bill of Pulaski, TN, and Sister Inez Appleton of Pulaski. Mrs. Chapman was also a grandmother to 7 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 6 great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday, December 28, 2016 from 11:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at The Carr & Erwin Funeral Home. A Graveside service will follow 1:00 p.m. at Maplewood Cemetery in Pulaski, TN.
