John Henry Hysell

John Henry Hysell, age 64 of Punta Gorda, FL passed away December 8, 2021. He was born May 17, 1957 in Lakeview, MI to Lois J. Wilkins and Kline Cogswell. John attended Charlotte High School and was skilled in roofing, concrete and block for many years and then went on to own his own lawn maintenance business, which kept him very busy. He was always keeping his equipment running for his many loyal customers. John loved his family and God more than anything. He was known for being able to fix anything, even his green Toyota truck had more than 400,000 miles on it. John was preceded in death by his father, Kline Cogswell, and his step father, Richard Hysell; and his brothers, Rex Edward Hysell, and Kline “Jake” Allen Cogswell. He is survived by his mother, Lois J. Wilkins; his children, John (Katherine) Bryon Hysell; and Tracy Hysell; grandchildren, Bryon Hysell, Tyler Gray, Taylor Alexis Ketter, Madyson Elizabeth Ketter, and Seth Dylan Desimpelaere; great grandchildren, Ilysa Gray, Karter Malachai Ketter, Faye Lillian Knigge, and Robert Knigge; and sister, Brenda Lee Brunderman. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 from 10-11am with a service to take place starting at 11am at Kays-Ponger & Uselton Funeral Home; 635 E. Marion Ave., Punta Gorda, FL 33950. In lieu of flowers, donations to his mother, Lois Wilkins, for funeral expenses is very much appreciated.
