Judith Patz Gaffney, 83, of Punta Gorda, FL, passed away peacefully early in the morning on December 21, 2025. Judy was born on September 9, 1942, in East Hartford, CT to John and Leonora Patz. She grew up in Connecticut and spent a large part of her adult life there. She attended The Stamford Hospital School of Nursing, became a Registered Nurse, and later graduated from Iona College with a BS in Nursing. Caregiving and nurturing was part of what made Judy so wonderful. Her family was and is so proud of her. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Henry Gaffney, her daughters Colleen Eichor and Kelley Vialle, grandchildren Courtney Cromer, Christiana Cromer, Carter Cromer, Christina Vialle, Samuel Vialle, Jennifer Vialle and Thomas Vialle, and sister, Kristine Heinrich. She was pre-deceased by her brothers John and Richard Patz. Judy leaves behind many friends and sweet memories. She was so cherished and will be so missed.
