Gerald Allen Drake

Gerald A. Drake, 76, of South Prairie, WA, died Saturday at home. Gerald was born in Casselton, North Dakota. The family lived in Casselton and West Fargo, where he attended school. He served in the US Army from 1957 to 1959. On July 27, 1962, Gerald married Janet in Seattle, WA. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren but the real joy of his life was fishing and hunting with his son Ron. He is preceded in death by his father, Sam; mother, Etta Thiessen; sisters, Marion Banks, Joanne Ohnstad and Maxine Wateland; brother William Drake; brother-in-law, Dan Olmstead; step-father, Pete Thiessen and step-brother, Stanley Thiessen. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Janet; son, Ronald (Tracey) Drake; daughters, Geraldine (Ron) Scarvie and Patty (Tom) Mulligan; sisters, Frances (Enoch) Jenner of West Fargo, ND, Betty Olmstead of West Fargo, ND; sister-in-law Delores Drake of Fargo, ND; step-brothers, Roger and Larry Thiessen; step-sisters Sharon and Beverly Thiessen and numerous nieces and nephews.
