The Lord called home Joseph Frederick Powers, 91, of Puyallup, WA, on September 12th after a short illness. He served his country for 32 years, 22 as an Army physician, and the remainder with the state of Washington. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Carlene; sister, Mary; 8 children; 34 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren, and countless friends. A heartfelt "Thank You!" to Tami Bielik and Catherine Tamburello of Visiting Angels, and George Rodriguez of Synergy, for their loving, compassionate, and dedicated care. Donations to his favorite charity, Alzheimer's Association, can be given in lieu of flowers. A memorial service celebrating his life will be held at St. Andrews Catholic Church at 11am on Thursday, September 22nd, 2016.
