Virginia Bennett, born Mary Virginia Schletzbaum to AIbert and Mary Schletzbaum on September 21nd, 1923. Virginia was the eldest of 2 children. She was preceded in death by brother Vernon "Nook" Schletzbaum who was lost when the bicycle he was riding was struck by a car at the age of 12.
Virginia was a nurse and book keeper in her younger years. She married Lynn Vertrees and had two children, Sandie and Gary. She later married Ken Juburg and enjoyed raising horses with him, her favorite was Fancy. She loved her dogs, Penny, Tina and Muffy and her stolen cat who shall remain nameless. Virginia spent years being pampered by Harry Bennett who referred to her as "The Big Boss".
Virginia was extremely intelligent and loved to read. She could hold her own on any topic you wanted to discuss. Just don't get her started on politics or pharmaceutical companies. She believed in healthy living and naturopathic medicine. No doctor could tell her how to take care of herself. She spent years travelling around with family collecting fine glassware. She enjoyed ballroom dancing and was proud to showcase the trophies she won. She also enjoyed playing the organ.
Through dancing she met Buck Spurlock and spent the last 28 year as his companion. They travelled, enjoyed the Muckleshoot Casino, eating out and spending time with family.
Virginia was extremely generous. She provided things such as braces for her grandchildren, college funds for great grandchildren, windows, air conditioning, and really just about any help family needed.
Virginia, Mom, Grandma, friend was truly an amazing and unique person. Her passing has left a huge hole in so many lives, she is terribly missed and will live forever in our hearts. We love you
