Paulette Doud passed away on September 2, 2016 in Federal Way, Washington, surrounded by the loving company of her husband, Robert Doud, and her two children, Nick Gratzer and Colette Pedersen.
Paulette spent her childhood growing up in Puyallup, Washington and attending Puyallup High School. She enjoyed a successful career as a Barber-Stylist for many years as she owned and operated her own salon. Throughout those years she developed many close friendships with her clients, whom she valued very deeply.
She also enjoyed shopping, traveling to St. George and other vacation destinations, and the company of her closest friends.
Her greatest passion was her family. As a mother and grandmother, she would do anything for her children and grandchildren. She joyfully celebrated each of their successes and worried alongside them in the difficult times. She had a gift for listening and passionately sharing her life experiences and advice to help. She would be the first in your corner in times of need. Her endless joy and pride in her family was paramount.
The other love in her life was her husband, Robert Doud. He was her rock and stability throughout their 15 years together. He cared for her and loved her deeply, supporting her through her most difficult times. She adoringly referred to him as “my Bobby” and often talked about how much he did for her, and how happy she was to have “found him again”. They shared a special devotion to each other.
Paulette filled their home with pictures and memories of all her children and grandchildren, finding unique ways to make each of them feel special in their own individual ways. She loved deeply, and will be missed by so many. She is survived by her husband, Robert Doud, children Nick Gratzer and Colette Pedersen, step-daughters Amy Brazinskas and Lisa Doud, and her grandchildren, Joey, Maddi, Brayden, Casey and Emily. And of course, her favorite fury companion, Sissy.
