Richard Frank Bobb
October 25, 1941 - January 23, 2013
Dick Bobb was born in Allentown, PA in 1941 and died suddenly of a heart attack on Jan. 23, 2013 at his home in Puyallup, WA. After high school Dick joined the Air Force where he was trained in air traffic control. He was stationed in Blaine, WA where he met Arlene, his wife of 51 years. After the Air Force he worked for the Federal Aviation Administration as a controller. He retired from Sea-Tac tower in 1997 after 38 years.
Airplanes were his passion and he loved reading about history and World War II. He enjoyed tinkering with cars, swimming, and traveling. His travels to Asia confirmed to him how blessed we are to live in freedom on the United States of America. He was kind and generous, full of love and greeted everyone with a hug. His quick wit and sense of humor always kept us laughing.
But nothing was more important to Dick than his family. He took great care of his wife Arlene, oldest daughter Pam, son-in-law Jerry, only son Rick who preceded him in death, youngest daughter Kim and his babies-- grandson Dade and granddaughter Sydney.
He loved the Lord, and we thank God that he is now reunited with his son Rick, in the presence of our loving Savior.
For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth
to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us.
Romans 8:18
