You were one of the Best Dachshund Mom's ever. I wish I had seen you more often in the months before you passed. You are hugging my new Dachshund Puppy , Eloise here.  I am sure you are over the Rainbow Bridge with all your beloved dogs and family who have gone before  us. You had a beautiful face that read your inner spirit of love , peace and humanity. Rest in Peace dear Chris.

I am a neighbor who lives a few blocks from  Christine and just learned of her passing a few hours ago...I am shocked and saddened by this news. Christine was a lover of life and spoke glowingly of her family often and also of her cuddly dog, Taco. I hadn't seen her walking Taco lately and just thought  she was taking a different route...
I will miss her lively spirit; I'm sure her wake held many people who offered stories of her kindness. Please know that she will be sorely missed. She is with God now; I pray her family finds peace in time through His loving grace.

Mrs. O!

One thing you always encouraged was for us to be strong, independent women first and foremost. I have tears in my eyes. I’ll never forget you showing us the movie “Not without my daughter” and gave us a strong lesson that week. It stuck with me for over 15 years, I still talk about it, I’ll be watching it again tonight in loving memory of you. I’m glad my baby sister had the pleasure of having you as a teacher as well. You have helped mold me into the strong fearless leader I am today. Mrs. O you have touched many young women for years. You have done your job sweet angel. Rest well.

RIP to one of Kearney’s greatest teachers Mrs. O’Rourke💔 Mrs O was so much more than a teacher, but a mentor & a friend to me since graduating. Her strong & fiery personality was paired with the kindest, warmest soul. Her texts always put a smile on my face, whether it would be to tell me she is thinking of me or to show me a picture of a squirrel in her yard (we shared a mutual love for animals) I’ll never forget the lessons she taught me, academically & in life. Since graduating, she would write to me every few months or so to check in, mail me holiday cards & reassure me I was always in her thoughts and prayers. She never forgot me & I’ll never forget her. May she rest in sweetest peace with all of the animals in heaven💕

Our hearts and prayers are with her family whom she adored. She will be sorely missed. Heaven has gained an amazing angel.

Although I hated history class I absolutely adored her. She is the reason I became an even bigger animal activist! In my junior year, I helped start the "gods earth and creatures" club where she taught me about vegetarianism which I became and then a vegan shortly after. She was the most amazing and passionate teacher. I'm heart broken because I usually checked in on her every once in a while but haven't since life has gotten far more complicated.

It is with a heavy heart that I write this. Mrs. O'Rourke was my home room teacher for four years in high school. She made such a beautiful impact on my life. I became a vegetarian in high school because of her and ended up going to college for Veterinary Technician. She was a huge animal lover and advocate for animal rights. It very quickly became my passion as well. I was the president of her animals right club although we couldn’t call it that back then. For my graduation, it was her that I went to dinner with after. She took me to a vegetarian Chinese food restaurant and then we went to a local animal rescue facility and cleaned kennels in our dress clothes. She was a pure light in this world and I will never forget her. She taught me compassion  for all living beings. You will be missed,  Mrs. O'Rourke. You will forever live on in our hearts. May you rest in peace.

This incredibly woman was the toughest cookie around! She used to call me by my last name, shout it down the hallway. NIHILL! My dad is an NYPD detective and she held me to a standard of excellence. Her classes would be the highlight of my high school days. 

I was glad to know her through family as well. My aunt (Sister Ruth Anne) taught her when she was young and they stayed in touch all these years. I was lucky to see her last year at the Bishop McDonnell’s reunion. I happened to be there as my grandma was a bishops girl too (class of 1950). I am so grateful I saw her and we shared memories together again. 

She was an amazing person and will be an even better angel. Rest in the peace Mr. O! I know I’m a better and stronger person for knowing you!

We are so sorry to hear of Chris's passing. Her smile and laughter brought wonderful energy to the neighborhood.  My dog Max and Taco were good buddies and when we ran into each other Chris would always say with a smile, "There's Taco's friend, Max - they sure do know who their friends are. Now Taco will have a great day because he saw his friend."  I will miss chatting with her while we walked  (and trying to keep up!)   I am shocked to hear of her passing and she will be missed.  My deepest condolences to her family.
