Dear Joyce and family
Losing Devon is a great loss.   He was a great person and touched all our lives.  His patience in dealing with situations at work always amazed me.  Took care of the most complex problems with compassion and at the same time could be tough when he needed to be.  I enjoyed working with him.

Of course you were all the center of his life and he talked about you all frequently.  He was so proud of his family.
Remember the Happy Memories to help you heal.  We will never forget Devon but time teaches how to cope.

Dear Devon. We will miss you so very much. My brother-in-law and uncle (mausa) to our kids. You've been a worthy example of a good, honorable and decent man, always thinking of others, always taking your responsibility. Your path on this earth ends here, and I know that you must be destined for greater things. God indeed took one of his brightest stars back. Forever you live on in our hearts and may your light shine upon us. It was truly an honor to have you in our lives. We wish the family a lot of love and strength in these sad days.

For a friend whom I grew up with like a brother. Life,'s journey has a way of bringing ones once cared for back  but hopefully  not to loose them again , this time no going back just the memories are left.

My friend, brother, mentor, and guru, Devon, I have often pondered why life seems to deal its harshest trials to the most kind hearted souls. Devon was a man of deep empathy and bottomless love for those around him. He cherished his visits to Trivandrum, India, drawn to its golden beaches, radiant sun, and tranquil churches.  He delighted in driving through the town, often expressing his dream of settling in a place like this, reminiscent of his childhood memories in Guyana. Devon took immense pride in his Indian heritage, and we shared countless recommendations of Indian movies and music. He had a feeling of camaraderie when in India. My brother, Devon, every moment we spent together is etched in my heart. I will carry your memory with me until my last day. With love, Raghavan

Our sincere and deepest condolences to you and your family. I will miss my friend tremendously.   Devon was a person that enriched your life.  He was very soft spoken .  I’ve never heard him raise his voice.  The times we’ve spent together at work and personal, I will cherish.  My friend, may you rest in eternal peace.

Please accept my condolences to the Erriah family.  Devon was an exceptional inspector, ready to share information and never left any doubt about being a team player.  We made a few trips to India together and I will miss him.  I could not have asked for a better travel partner.

I was  heartbroken to learn of Devon's passing.
He was one of my mentors when I was brand new at the FAA. We spent many nights on the ramp together conducting foreign carrier inspections when he was still at the NYFSDO. He was always professional, incredibly knowledgeable and one of the finest, kindest people that I have ever worked with. 
We are so sorry that we are  unable to attend in person as we away.

Devon has been in our lives for about 40 plus years.   A sweet, kind, humble & caring soul.  He saw in & wanted only the best for everyone. He never wanted to be in the spotlight but he’s the 1 that made the light shine brighter in our lives!

I remember Devons first day at AA. I watched as he rose within the ranks at AA from a mechanic, to a Supervisor, to a manager, to the Station Manager at JFK. He always did the best that he could and encouraged me to have higher aspirations. I followed Devon into management  becoming One of his Supervisors then one of his Managers ( I wonder sometimes of he regretted that decision, lol)

We started as co-workers, then he was my boss, then we were co-workers again, but thru all the trials and tribulations  of life we were always friends. 

I will miss his humor and his laugh.  I will miss him always calling me kid even though I was close to his age.  I will miss him talking about his family , whom he loved so dearly. 

I will miss you my friend.

I first met Devon in 2003 at the American Airlines hangar in JFK. I was assigned to work a Bird strike incident as birds were ingested into one of the engines on a Fokker 100 causing the engine to be shutdown in flight.  My first impression of Devon was he spoke softly, calmly, and knew his aircraft. As years passed we were Blessed and fortunate to have him join the FAA as he became a colleague and friend.

To know Devon was to know true kindness. He gave of himself freely and was always the consummate professional. I was one of those lucky individuals to have known and worked with him. 

I feel we can take comfort in knowing that Devon’s spirit lives on in the love he shared, the lives he touched, and the quiet, enduring impact of a life well-lived. Rest peacefully Devon. Your gentleness and your quiet strength will never be forgotten. Until we meet again my friend.

We met in Junior High School and quickly became close, sharing laughter, support, and countless memories. Though we attended different high schools, our friendship remained strong.  

Devon was pleasant and content and had a special way of making every moment unforgettable. Whether it was moments like picking up his dad at night from Roosevelt Island, cleaning our cars together or just hanging out in our teenage years with family and friends, those moments will stay with me always.
