A funeral mass will occur Saturday, October 9, 2021 from 9:45 AM to 10:45 AM at Incarnation R.C. Church, 89-43 Francis Lewis Boulevard, Queens Village, NY 11427. A committal service will occur Saturday, October 9, 2021 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at St. Charles/Resurrection Cemeteries, 2015 Wellwood Avenue, West Babylon, NY 11735.

The third of eight siblings to parents Cedoine & Alexandrinen Jacques. Gerard along with his five sisters and two brothers grew up in the Haitian capital where his father worked as a handyman and his mother as a seamstress. As a young man he followed his passion for picture taking and became a photographer.
His life would change forever in 1979 while on his way to take pictures at a children’s birthday party. On that day, Gerard was stopped by a young woman named Gladys who mistook him for a man who had installed a faulty doorbell at her home the day before. Nine months later they were married. With dreams of building a family in America, Gladys immigrated to the United States in 1980 and was joined by Gerard a year later and in 1982 they had their first child, Christine. Gerard worked several jobs when he first moved to the U.S. before eventually finding work as a driver for Kingsboro Psychiatric Center where he worked for nearly 30 years until he retired.
‘Papi’ as he was known, will be best remembered for his vibrant personality, tireless work ethic and committed faith.
He is survived by his wife Gladys. His children Nodeline, Medgine, Christine, Steven and Patrick. His siblings Ghislaine, Marie Lourdes, Nicole, Germaine, Josette, Jean Rodigue and his four grandchildren.the Jacques family.
