Rest in peace Coach Brennan.  Thank you so much for your strength and kindness and for inspiring the students at SFP.  It was a pleasure to have met you.  May God hold you in the palm of his hand.  Watch over the all the future Tennis teams at SFP from heaven.  Rest easy Sir.

My condolences to the Brennan family. I knew John for over 30 years. He was a dedicated tennis coach and pro, but above all he was a wonderful and caring person.  His courage and drive to live life at the fullest in spite of his bouts with cancer are an example of determination, discipline that should inspire us all.

In addition to being a heroic, I experienced John as deeply spiritual. One, in being so tenacious in realizing his own potential and then working so hard to nurture and develop the potential of others.

Two, in being so creative as a coach.
I believe creativity and service are two qualities of a spiritual life, and we are all spiritual beings . 

When we honor that godliness in ourselves and in others we live from that place and the creativity and service follows. 

John will be deeply missed.

John was a true Franciscan and cared for all of his players. He lived our mission everyday of his life.  He also checked on his players and if they needed ANYTHING in his quiet way he would take care of it   I had the pleasure to know him for his entire career at SFP and his legacy will live in.  Thank you John for all you have done for your players over the years and  for St. Francis Prep.  Well done faithful servant.

Coach John Brennan was loved and respected by so many.
It was an honor to have him coach our son, Rino, for four years on the Varsity Tennis Team at St.  Francis Prep.
He will be sorely missed, but fondly remembered.

My condolences on your loss.  Coach Brennan was a genuinely caring individual. He cared for his tennis players as if the were his children.  He was always supportive and assisted them in every aspect of their life.  He will be greatly missed.

John was always the true professional! As a teacher/coach he always placed his student/athletes first in all his decisions. At SFP he always live out the Mission of the school.

Sincere condolences to all the wider family at this difficult time, thinking of you all. John, Maura, Ann, Aileen & Owen Brennan.

Deepest sympathy to Mary, Cathy, Eileen, Kevin and all Johns Family on his sad passing.  So sorry for your loss.  John was the kindest, sincere and most helpful cousin anyone could wish for. I have lovely memories of  many Sunday Lunches at Owen & Kay’s house in Queens with John visiting.  I will be forever grateful for all their kindness shown to me when I moved to America as a young woman.  John will be so sadly missed for his wisdom and kindness.  May his gentle soul rest peace.
