My sincerest condolences to the family! Joe and Rita were my mom's trusted friends and he, the doctor she consulted for medical advice and referrals. He operated on my wrist when I was seventeen. I was terrified of the procedure; but he convinced me that I had nothing to fear. When I woke up from the anesthesia, he was there checking up on me like a father would but with a wonderful smile and a few jokes that made me laugh. 

I will always remember Dr. Laguerre as an elegant man, bon-vivant, excellent host, and very light on his feet on the dance floor. He and Rita made a beautiful couple and raised a fine family.

 I will miss him greatly and treasure the wonderful times our families shared. RIP Joe and keep smiling down on us.

I am so terribly sorry to see Parrain Zo leave us. He was a wonderful man who was gracious, elegant and generous with his love and time. I feel so honored to have known him and to have loved him as I did my own father. My he rest in eternal peace and may God console you all.

As a teenager and young man, a lot goes over your head. I can remember coming to visit Audrey  and her Dad would be sitting in kitchen or dining room table. He would ask me seemingly random questions . It is now that I am an adult I can appreciate that those questions were not random at all, but a  protective and strategic inquiry to assess my intentions . Love is all I’ve ever known him to have for his family.

Elegance is defined as "The quality of being graceful and stylish in appearance and manner " "Having impeccable style and poise no matter the circumstances". Dr. Joseph Laguerre my Godfather embodied  all manner of elegance, competence, intellectual power, talent, dignity & most important love. He leaves an indelible & permanent imprint on our lives.
We are indebted to him for enriching & helping to shape our perspective on life & our place in the world. 
He truly was a Renaissance Man!.

Joseph est celui qui m’a diagnostiqué de diabète type 2. Il m’a prodigué de sages conseils et m’a mis en garde contre toute négligence, sinon dit-il:  tu ne verras pas 50 ans. 
Je lui ai toujours été reconnaissante. Je n’oublierai jamais sa jovialité et les bons moments passés en famille.

I’m deeply saddened by the loss of my beloved uncle Joseph. I have a ton of beautiful memories about him. He had a great sense of humor and there was never a dull moment with him. He would make some of the silliest jokes that made me laugh. We would converse about both meaningful and meaningless things. My heartfelt condolences to auntie Rita, Ricky, Malou, and Poupette, as well as to uncle Francois, auntie Janet, and  auntie Marcelle, May he Rest In Peace!
