A bientòt chère Manmie Lise!

Mrs. Lise Marc (born Laurenceau) returned to the Father's house on Tuesday, June 2, 2020 at the age of 90. The late Mother Lise is a student of the first promotion of the Pastoral College and she was always proud of her Catholic faith. I have to mention that she was among the pioneers of the Charismatic Renewal Council of Overseas Haitian Catholics, and was also one of the members of the Charismatic Renewal Council for several years. Mrs. Lise Marc was a very happy servant in the Lord's vineyard.
Mother Lise was very involved in the National Center of the Haitian Apostolate. She was among the architects of the grand Gala Evening at the Episcopal elevation of The Most Reverend Guy Sansaricq as Auxiliary Bishop of the Diocese of Brooklyn-Queens. She organized a fundraiser for 25 years for the National Center of the Haitian Apostolate on the occasion of Christmas.
For many participants this fundraising evening is always a great first class event. Bishop Guy Sansaricq has always expressed his deep gratitude to Mrs. Lise Marc for this gesture of solidarity towards the National Center of the Haitian Apostolate.
Mother Lise was the first Haitian female student who attended Lycée Petion in Haiti. After her classical studies in Haiti she went to study Nursing at Misericordia College in Montreal, Quebec, then she left Canada to come and settle in the United States. She completed her nursing studies in the United States. She worked as a nurse administrator managing a health center in New York City with 20,000 patients until retirement age.
Mother Lise was among the speakers of the 31st convention of the National Center of the Haitian Apostolate in the Archdiocese of Boston in June 2015. I always enjoyed hearing Mother Lise. She had very good diction having been well trained in languages at school. Click on this link to listen to Lise Marc: https://youtu.be/IdpDuM-HV0o
Mother Lise was a woman of great faith, very pious and who remained faithful to the man of her life the late Dr Gerard Marc who returned to the Father's house after 54 years of marriage. From this union the Marc couple had 3 children (Gene, Patrick and Linda), 4 grandchildren and 1 great-grand daughter. The families include: Gene Bernard Marc and his wife Margaret Alexandre Marc. The daughter of Gene and her family: Nicole Marc-Campbell (grand-daughter), Jeremy Campbell (spouse), Olivia (grand-daughter) and Diane Jackson Marc (mother of Nicole). Her late son, Patrick Jude Marc, her grandson Philip Patrick Marc and Kim Marc-Henderson (mother of Philip). The family of Dr. Linda Marc-Clérismé, her late son-in-law Jean Rénad Clérismé, PhD and their twin sons George-Rénald Clérismé and Xavier-Rénald Clérismé. Mother Lise was always proud of her lovely husband, the late Dr Gerard Marc who was an agronomist by training and the author of several books. Dr Marc completed his studies at the Institute of Agriculture in Oka, University of Montreal. He was always with his lovely wife, Mother Lise wherever she went.
In addition, the late Lise Marc was a member of the Pastoral Team and Assistant Coordinator of the Souffle Nouveau group in the parish of the Sacre Coeur where she organized spiritual training sessions. She was among the very active members of this parish. She supported a ministry in a rural area in Haiti where she brought considerable support to several couples preparing for the sacrament of marriage.
Bishop Guy Sansaricq extends his sincere condolences to the children and family of the late Lise Marc in these words" I share your deep grief at the departure from this world of such a lovely person, who was your mother or a close relative. My heart goes out to you. At the same time I pray that you receive a special grace of consolation. Death as you know is on everybody's path. Life on earth, although most important, is not our final destiny. A enjoyable future has been prepared for those who embrace the COVENANT. Mother Lise was obviously one who lived by faith and love. Her concern for her neighbor translated in dedicated activities of charities. Our prayers of thanksgiving escort her to the throne of glory where a place has been reserved for her. She has now found what she longed for all her life!
Dear Children and relatives, be assured of our love for you and our prayers!
Finally, the late Lise loved reading, fashion, good conversation. She loved her God, her husband, her children, grandchildren and her Church. She adopted Mr. Marco Laurenceau, her nephew who gave himself wholeheartedly to his service, to provide her with the necessary care with love for a period of 3 years until her final moment. So she has bequeathed Marco as a brother to her children.
A service is being planned in Queens, New York where floral arrangements will be accepted. The date and time of the service will be published shortly. Sympathy cards and personal notes for the family can be sent to the following address:
