Maria, Minnie and I met in July , 1967 in our first year of high school. Our friendship spanned fifty four years and became a Sisterhood. We experienced both happy and sad occasions and supported each other. Although I was not able to see Maria often, whenever we spoke it was as if we just had seen each other the day before.
Maria was kind, generous, hilarious and one-of-a-kind. Our greatest times were just getting together and being those three young girls talking about our memories.
Love you always, Ria, forever in my heart ❤️💋

Thank you Nilda for being the rock of the family and always taking care of them.
Maria was a true friend since we were teenagers. Our friendship transended into adulthood and we kept in touch weekly. She was generous, funny, stubborn and feisty. She was an intelligent woman who always offered her support and advice in times of need. We use to get together often and she always bought so many gifts when she came to my house that I had to sneak a check in her bag.
Her favorite past time was going to the Tiki bar and City Island. She loved her seafood and desserts.
May you rest in peace and know you left many wonderful memories in my heart.
You were more like a sister and will be forever in my heart.
