

Funeral services will be held at 10 am on Saturday, August 28 at R.Stutzmann and Sons on Jamaica Ave NY with Lyonel Geffrard of Noah’s Ark Church of Jesus Christ, officiating. Burial will follow at the Pine Lawn Cemetery. Arrangements are by R. Stutzmann & Son.
Nadine was born to her father Williere L. Hector and her mother Marie Elizabeth Lucienne Lahens on April 10th. She was raised by Marie Donejour Hector. When Nadine was a precocious child. She excelled in school and was a gifted orator. She loved poetry and had a gift for poetry that she shared with those around her.
Nadine always had a kind heart and was a natural nurturer. This led her to a career as a registered nurse at the age of 22. This also led her to her other passion: cooking. Nadine’s love language was definitely cooking. She opened her very successful restaurant called Dorothy's Resto located at Petition-Ville. You would never go hungry in her home.
Nadine was a very strong woman that survived many hardships. She was a survivor and after surviving the 2010 earthquake in Haiti, she relocated to NY where she built a beautiful life for her and her family.
While this past year was a difficult one for many, she made the best of it. This past spring her children surprised her with a birthday trip to Puerto Rico. She had a great time sightseeing, hanging poolside and lavishing attention on her only grandchild.
Nadine's legacy will be the people that she touched with her thoughtfulness, consideration and kindness. She always had a kind word, never met a stranger and brightened any room she entered.
Nadine is survived by her husband Jean-Marie Erinac, her son Jefferson Simplice Jr., her daughter Jennifer Simplice, her baby Samarah E. Hector, and her beloved grandchild Eloise A. Simplice. She is also survived by her cherished daughter-in-law Johana Simplice. She is survived by her siblings Hudson Hector, Clifford Larose, Sandra Hector, and Livingston Hector.
She will truly and eternally be missed by all.
