Patricia Ann was born September 7th 1942, in New Jersey she was the daughter of George and Ruth Rice, older sister to Carol. Patty was an adorable little girl who used every opportunity to rough house her sister, which lead to bond that will last forever. She was a beautiful brown haired blue eyed girl who possessed a smile that could light up a room. As a teenager her family moved to Farmingdale where graduated at Weldon E. Howitt High School in 1961. She worked in Manhattan for JC Penny's. She met Robert Hagemann on a blind date in 1964, the two married in April 1965. They enjoyed going on trips, doing new and exciting things together and then they became parents. First to their daughter Carrie, then to their son Robert. They moved to Bellerose in 1975. Patricia's love for animals was a natural link the whole family shared together. They rescued dogs, kittens, and birds. She pursued many careers such as cosmetology, dog grooming, and real estate. Patty was a volunteer at her children's school St Gregory's, she enjoyed taking her children to the pool, the beach, the park and making memories that would last a lifetime. In 2002 Michael joined the family becoming not just Patricia's son in law, she loved him as though he were her second son. Years later Patricia and Robert learned they would be come grandparents to Jackson Michael, they were absolutely ecstatic. Sadly a few months after Jackson's birth Robert quickly became ill and then passed away in July 2015 soon after the couples 50th wedding anniversary. Patricia was a strong woman who overcame so many health issues. She was born with cerebral palsy, she had Crohn's disease, and was a breast cancer survivor. She was a strong woman despite all of medical issues she came across. In 2017 Patricia welcomed her second grandson Conor Robert. Patricia's grandchildren were her true pride and joy, she enjoyed all the time she spent with "her boys". Unexpectedly, Patricia passed away on December 21st 2017 leaving all of us in shock and disbelief. She will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends who adored her. Patty, my Mom, was the kindest, most gentle woman I have ever known. She had such a huge heart that she wouldn't even hurt a fly. My father said it best by calling her "his SWEETIE". They are now together again this Christmas.
