Victor Peguero

Victor R. Peguero, age 58, passed away on May 30, 2019 at his home in Bel Air, Maryland. The son of the late Raphael and Emile Jeanty Peguero Victor was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Victor has been married to Sandie Jenkins Peguero for 30 years.

A career invested in Finance, Victor was currently the Director of Administration of Finance for the University of Maryland Earth System Science Interdisciplinary Center where he wrote grants. He has always been scholastically inclined, holding two Masters. Victor was kind, with a big heart. He always seemed to be front and forward to assist his family and friends. In any social setting he attended, Victor’s presence always lit up the room and kept the celebrations going. He also enjoyed hosting parties for his cherished friends he has known from High School, College and his adult years. Victor worked hard, and with his family, they enjoyed cruises, vacationing to the Bahamas, Puerto Rico, Hawaii, to name a few of their retreat locals. On weekends at his home, Victor’s idea of relaxing was using the many tools in his garage to fix things about the house; and relaxing on his pride and joy, his motorized mower, cutting the grass for hours at a time, wearing his big hat.

Victor is survived by his wife Sandie, daughter Maya-Loren; stepson Collin Austin; son Max-Andre Valerius; sisters Pascale Peguero, Prysca Peguero Magloire, Mercedes Peguero-Medine, brother Fabian Vilme; aunts Georgette Jeanty Lindor; Marie Helen Jeanty, uncles Gerard Jeanty, Constant Jeanty, Petion Lindor and many close cousins, niece and nephews; sisters in law Laura Vitiello and Leslie Jenkins.
