

Kelley, Dorothy A. (Curtis), 81, of Milton, formerly of Weymouth. Died January 7, 2014, after a long illness. She was surrounded by her loving family.
Dorothy, “Dottie,” was the loving wife of the late Edward P. Kelley for almost 60 years, with whom she raised eight children in Weymouth. A talented lifelong dancer, Dottie ran her own dancing school before launching a successful sales career with Mary Kay. With a generous spirit, she served many people in need throughout her life by organizing fundraisers, caring for the sick and cooking Thanksgiving dinners for disabled veterans.
Dottie is survived by eight children and their families: Edward Jr. and his partner, Virginia Zachem, of Scituate; Michael and his wife, Deborah, of Quincy; Brian and his wife, Hilary Black, of Milton; Jean Long and her husband, Michael, of Hanover; Kathleen Ready and her husband, David, of Westwood; Mary and her husband, Martin O’Toole, of Scituate; Diane and her husband, Mark Sayers of Quincy; and Margaret and her husband, Christopher Fitzpatrick, of Attleboro. “Nana” was cherished by 15 grandchildren: Mark, Erin, Michael, Crystal, Scott, Ian, Morgan, Douglas, Michelle, Steven, Patrick, Nicole, Darcy, Marlena and Sean; and by eight great-grandchildren: Isabella, Norah, Justin, Camryn, Gianna, Richard, Jocelyn and Alyssa.
Dottie was the devoted sister of David Curtis, and the late Jean (Curtis) Barrett, Thomas Curtis, Mary (Curtis) Berlo, Richard Curtis and Alan Curtis. She was adored by many nieces, nephews and friends.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday January 10, 2014 at 10 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 44 School Street, Quincy. http://stjohnsquincy.org/ to followed by interment in Milton Cemetery.
