On Monday, June 1, 2020, Kam Wong Lee, loving husband, father of three, and grandfather of eight passed away at the age of 72 after battling a long-term illness. He was born in Fujian, China and immigrated to Hong Kong with his father and older siblings when he was a young child. In 1969, Kam married Wai Yung Ng and immigrated to the United States in 1971 for a better life for their children. He worked multiple jobs during his lifetime to support his family until they reached adulthood, knowing his sacrifice would give his children a better chance at success. He had many friends around Boston’s Chinatown, visiting them and playing cards with them in his spare time. After retirement, he took care of his grandchildren and often treated them to his favorite foods. He enjoyed playing chess with his grandson Aaron. He was the loving father of Ting and her husband Calvin Wong of Hingham, MA; Ken and his wife Janet of Norwell, MA; and Mei and her husband Thomas Goon of Hingham, MA. He was the cherished grandfather of Aaron, Victoria, Kaitlyn, Kameron, Jessica, Jordan, Zachary, and Daniel. Kam was the loving son of Lee So (predeceased) and Chow Tse Lau (predeceased). He was the younger brother of Lee Wong Long (predeceased) and his wife Lee Chan Kit Yin; Lee Lai Wah (predeceased) and her husband (predeceased); Lee Lai Fong and her husband (predeceased); Lee Fong Leng and his wife Lam Mei Wah; and Lee Lai Chun and her husband.
