Barbara J. Hinson

Mrs. Barbara J. Hinson, age 77, of Wagram went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, April 8, 2020. She passed peacefully in her home surrounded by her children.Barbara was born in Hoke County on October 25, 1942. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Eugene Hinson, twin daughters, Melissa and Melinda Hinson, her mother, Virginia Smith Williford, brother, Leonard Smith, and sister, Jacqueline Allen.She is survived by her son, John Hinson and wife Skye of Poquoson, VA; three daughters, Rhonda Bird and husband Harry of Prosperity, SC., Constance ""Connie"" Weisner and husband John of Kernersville, NC. and Debra Bishop and husband Chuck of McDonough, GA; 18 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; and brother Fred Smith and wife Jeanie of Flat Rock, NC.; and many nieces and nephews.A graveside service will be held 11:00 am Saturday, April 11, 2020, at Gardens of Faith Cemetery, 5190 Fayetteville Road, Lumberton, NC with Pastor Roger Burns officiating. The family will receive friends after the service at the graveside.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice Foundation of Hoke County, P.O. Box 1584, Raeford, NC 28376.Care of the family is entrusted to Crumpler Funeral Home, 131 Harris Ave. Raeford, NC.STATE OFFICIALS HAVE MANDATED LIMITING GATHERINGS TO NO MORE THAN 50 PEOPLE, INCLUDING FAMILY MEMBERS AND FUNERAL HOME STAFF.
