Faye Oliver Jordan

Mrs. Jordan was born in Cumberland County on April 4, 1926, to the late Walter Presley Baker and Faye Theresa Oliver Baker. She was preceded in death by her son, Walter “Wally” Baker Jordan, and her sister, Phyllis Baker McNeill. Mrs. Jordan was a member of First Baptist Church in Raeford, NC.

Mrs. Jordan was a graduate of HCHS and Meredith College. She received her Master’s  Degree in Counseling from East Carolina University and was a Guidance Counselor for the Hoke County School System for twenty years. She was a loving and devoted mother and will be remembered for her generosity and kindness.

She is survived by three sons, Mike Jordan and his wife Beth of Georgetown, SC, Bob Jordan and his wife Amy of Cary, NC, and John Jordan and his wife Polly of Raeford, NC, three daughters, Beth Foster and her husband Bill of Ann Arbor, MI, Kim Williamson and her husband Don of Ocean Isle Beach, NC, and Suzanne McGougan and her husband Joe of Elgin, SC, ten grandchildren, and nineteen great-grandchildren. The family would especially like to thank her caregivers, Doris, Gladys, Ruby, and Helen.

A  visitation will be held from 10:30 am until 11:25 am on Saturday, April 2, 2022 at the Raeford Presbyterian Church, John C. Ropp Fellowship Hall.

A memorial service will be held 11:30 am Saturday, April 2, 2022 at the Raeford Presbyterian Church.
