Dateline: Red Springs Mr. Franklin Douglas McAllister of Red Springs, died September 10, 2014 in his home, at the age of 77. Mr. McAllister was born April 19, 1937 in Robeson County to the late Johnnie and Queen Ester McAllister. He was also preceded in death by a brother John Willie McAllister and a sister Bertha Mae McCargo. He is survived by his wife Leola McAllister, 2 sons John Davis Murphy(Tammy), Charles McAllister, 6 daughters, Frances Johnson (Craig),Johnnie Mae Patterson(Jamie), Carolyn McAllister, Lisa Bankole (Aderemi), Joyce Bradford (Anthony),Linda Conner (Charles),4 brothers Nathaniel McAllister, Sylvester McAllister, Allen McAllister, Odell McAllister, 3 sisters, Pauline Leach, Queen Snow, Mildred White, 19 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held 5-8 pm Thursday, September 18, 2014 at Crumpler Funeral Home 220 E.4th Ave. Red Springs, NC. A funeral service will be 10:00 am Friday, September 19, 2014 in the Crumpler Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery, Maxton, NC.
