John Herbert Reynolds

Mr. John Herbert Reynolds, died Monday, March 21, 2011 in Manor Care of Pinehurst at the age of 87. Mr. Reynolds was born in Surry County on December 20, 1923 to the late Jim Reynolds and Lena Simmons Reynolds. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Sue Reynolds, and two brothers: Cecil Reynolds and Bill Reynolds. He was a founding member of Puppy Creek Volunteer Fire Department. Survivors are a sister, Frances R. Autry and her husband Corbett of Lumber Bridge, a sister-in-law, Louise W. Reynolds of Rockfish, two nephews, Mike Reynolds and his wife Vickie of Aberdeen, and Donald Wolley and his wife Britt of Durham, two nieces, Mary Frances Powers and her husband Jim of NJ, Martha R. Parks and her husband Ray of Fayetteville, 7 great nieces and nephews, Tony, Chris, Ken, Michael, Elizabeth, Melissa, Lucy, Henry, Laila, and Jennifer, 5 great great nieces and nephews, Austin, Hailey, Abby, Ryan, and Lauren. The family will receive relatives and friends between the hours of 1:00 and 2:00 P. M, Thursday, March 24, 2011 at Crumpler Funeral Home, 131 Harris Avenue, Raeford, NC 28376. Funeral Services will be 2:00 P. M. Thursday, March 24, 2011 at Crumpler Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Raeford Cemetery.
