Perry Leon Peterkin

Brother Perry Leon Peterkin,was born on March 17, 1960 in evening to the late legendary Deacon James Peterkin Sr. and Mrs. Peppa Annie Mae Peterkin birth two amazing twin boys one singing and one kicking. Brother Perry Peterkin attended Hoke County High School and graduated in 1973. At a young age he accepted Christ and joined the Leach Springs Missionary Baptist Church and later rededicated his life and joined the Harvest Church in Raeford, North Carolina. Perry had a passion for singing since he was a young boy. The late legendary Deacon James Peterkin,Sr; instilled the promising virtue in him to sing. His path started as early as the Happy Land Singers. Brother Perry Peterkin was a part of many quartet groups in the surrounding areas such as the Supreme Harmonies of Dunn, NC; Men in Christ of Raeford and a local group from Raleigh,North Carolina. He was inspired by many other advocates of the gospel such as the Canton Spirituals, The Alabama Spirituals, Georgia Dean, Gospel Four and Doc McKenzie. Perry Peterkin leaves to cherish his loving and profound memories his sweet angel, daughter Unique Inez (Tyrece) Lomack and one step daughter Termiker Billinger. Two grandchildren: Tyrena and Tyrece Jr. (TJ) Lomack all of Raeford. His step mother Glenda Peterkin. Two brothers, James (Alice) Peterkin,Jr., Terry (Natalie) Peterkin, Hubert (Della) Peterkin, Billie (Betty) Peterkin, Lonnie (Robin)Peterkin, Glenn (Annie) King, four sisters, Shirley (Ernest) Perry all of Raeford, NC. Hazel(Kevin) Ware of Helendale, Ca;Eola Newkirk of Clearwater Florida, Iris Peterkin of Brooklyn, New York and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
