Robert Shelton Carpenter

Mr. Robert Shelton Carpenter of 2850 Edinburgh Rd died in his home on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at the age of 41. Mr. Carpenter was born in Cumberland County on October 30, 1974 to Robert Lee Carpenter and Margaret Revis Carpenter. Mr. Carpenter proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. After serving his country, he served his community as a firefighter, first with the Stoney Point Fire Department, and then with the Ft. Bragg Fire Department. Robert was passionate about many things in life especially spending time with his children. He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents and one brother, Nathan. He is survived by his wife, Donna Corinna Carpenter of Red Springs; his three children, Korina, Tifanie, and Robert, Jr.; granddaughter, Tala Mai; his parents, Robert and Margaret Carpenter of Fayetteville; his brothers, Wesley of Wilmington, James of Raeford, Bill and Richard of New Bern, Randy of Asheville. A funeral service will be held 12:00 PM Saturday, September 3, 2016 at RockFish Church, 9949 Fayetteville Rd in Raeford with Pastor Dan Stanley officiating. The family will receive friends at the home of Donna Carpenter, 2850 Edinburgh Rd in Red Springs following the service. Robert touched many people during his life.
