

Mr. Roy Franklin Tedder of Red Springs died Thursday, September 10, 2015 in his home at the age of 88. Mr. Tedder was born March 20, 1927 in Stokes County NC to the late Lennie Amos Tedder and Anna Mae Faulk Tedder. He was preceded in death by his sons, Jerry Tedder and Larry Tedder. He served in the U.S. Navy. Mr. Tedder was a founding member of the Red Springs Rescue Squad. Mr. Tedder is survived by his wife, Edna Jordan Tedder of Red Springs, 2 sons, Michael Carr of Red Springs, Dail Locklear of Shannon; 3 daughters, Deborah Carr Bullard, Teresa Carr Worriax and Kim Carr Locklear all of Red Springs; one brother Donald Tedder of Wake Forest, 15 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 7 great great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. A visitation will be 6-8pn Monday, September 14, 2015 at Crumpler Funeral Home 220 East 4th Ave. Red Springs, NC. A funeral service will be 2pm Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at Westside Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Alloway Cemetery with Full Military Honors. The family would like to extend a special Thank You to Joyce Mercer and Teresa Carver for their care and assistance to Roy during his extended illness.
