Mrs. Susan S. Burke of 2507 Hwy 401 Business, died Monday, April 4, 2011 in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville at the age of 84. Mrs. Burke was born in Robeson County on April 20, 1926 to the late Neil Arch Smith and Rebecca Hendrix Smith. She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church for over 50 years. Survivors include two sons: C. Douglas Burke and wife Debbie of Raeford, NC and Richard D. Burke and wife Dolly of Yorktown, VA; 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. The family will receive relatives and friends between the hours of 10:00 and 10:45 AM Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at Hillcrest Baptist Church, 2699 Hwy 401 Business, Raeford, NC. Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM, Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at Hillcrest Baptist Church with Reverend David Kessler and Reverend Stephen Bennett officiating. Burial will be in Raeford Cemetery.
