William A Billy Black

Mr. William A (Billy) Black of Raeford, passed away Sunday, July 29, 2018 at St. Joseph of the Pines at the age of 79.Billy was born August 18, 1938 in Hoke Co., to the late William Alex (Buddy) Black and Hazel Conoly Black Davis. He was preceded in death by his brother Johnny Black and grandson Brian Neal Black.He is survived by two sons, Michael Allen Black of Lake Tillery, Roger Craig Black of Laurel Hill, a daughter, Cynthia (Cindy) Black Carpenter (Joe) of Laurinburg, a sister, Ann Black Erickson (Michael) of Maynardville, TN, 5 grandchildren, Meagan Carpenter Dial (Champ), Joseph Carpenter, Craig Black, Tabitha Wyland, Brandi Kittredge, 11 grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.A visitation will be held 12-1pm Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at Crumpler Funeral Home 131 Harris Ave. Raeford, NC.A funeral service will follow the visitation at 1pm in Crumpler Funeral Home Chapel.Burial will be in Sandy Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery.Memorials in Billys honor may be made to Solutions for Animals, Inc. 2298 North Horace Walters Road Raeford, NC 28376.
