AdelIe was born November 17, 1925, in Granville County, NC, to the late Thomas Beverly Newton, Sr. and Lula Bell Daniel Newton. She retired as an Administrator with Nationwide Insurance Company. Adelle was a long-time member of Westover United Methodist Church in Raleigh. Her passion was flowers and gardening, making sure her lawn, garden and landscaping were maintained in a pristine manner. She loved her family, friends and neighbors. Adelle was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Adelle was preceded in death by three sons: Lowry Williams, Jr., Pete “PT” Williams and Kenny Williams; and two grandsons: Kevin Williams and Dickie Williams.
Surviving is her daughter-in-law, Diane Williams; one grandson, Brian Wiliams (Meredith); and two great-granddaughters: Lakin Williams and Lainey Williams.
A graveside service for Adelle Newton Todd will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 5, 2026, in Raleigh Memorial Park, 7501 Glenwood Ave., Raleigh, NC 27612, with Pastor William Holliday officiating.
In lieu of flowers, Adelle’s family is requesting memorial donations to Westover United Methodist Church, Raleigh, NC or the charity of one’s choice.
