Andrew Parliman, 76, passed away peacefully on October 21, 2018 in the comfort of his home. Born on December 8, 1941 in Morristown, New Jersey; he was the son of the late Edson C. Parliman and Anna Mae Ort Parliman. Andrew served honorably in the US Navy during the Cuban Missile Crisis on the USS Enterprise. He retired from Wandell & Goltermann as a purchasing manager, working both in New Jersey and the Research Triangle Park in North Carolina.
Andrew was passionate about golf, his family and his cats: Tigger, Baby, Piglet, Sissy Ray and Bonnie Rae, just to name a few.
He is survived by his son: Brett Parliman; daughter: Kim Parliman-Sukel and husband Daniel Sukel; grandchildren: Brittany Nicole Parliman, Jeremy Andrew Parliman, Joshua Ethan Sukel and Zachary Robert Sukel; and by other family and friends, including his cousins: Brenda and Durwin Ross.
Andrew was preceded in death by his parents, by his wife, Rebecca Lea Thrift-Parliman and by his brother, Edson C. Parliman, Jr.
A private celebration of life will be held by the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to Andrew's and Becky's favorite charity at www.safehavenforcats.org.
