Anna Frances Folsom

Anna Frances Larkin-Folsom, 91 a 60 year resident of Raleigh NC, formerly of Poughkeepsie New York, passed away quietly surrounded by loving family members in Clayton, North Carolina on August 24, 2025.

Mrs. Folsom was born in Beacon, New York on 22 October 1933; the only daughter of the late John Joseph Larkin Sr. & Anna Mary Seamon-Larkin.

After graduation from Poughkeepsie H.S. in 1950 she entered the US Navy as a Dental Technician. While on active duty she met her future husband George Gary Folsom who was also a Dental Technician in the US Navy. The couple were married on 27 December 1953. Anna & Gary were active members of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Raleigh. Anna was also a member of the Eucharistic Adoration, Blessed Sacrament Chapel.

Mrs. Folsom worked at Wachovia Bank, Raleigh for 30 years in the Research department and successfully retired. She also was an active member of the Woman’s Optimist Club of Raleigh.

Anna was predeceased in death by her husband Gary who passed away on 4 August 2023 after 69 years of marriage.

Survivors include three children; son, George Gary Folsom Jr now widowed by Joanne Mildred Morely- Folsom, Former wife; Pok Hui Folsom, Grandson; George Gary Folsom III & wife Capt, DMD, US Army So Jeong, Great Grandson Victor S, Granddaughter; Georgeanna Kim Folsom, Great Granddaughters; Nadia Alice & Nyla Ann Ramirez, Grandson; Francis Jo Folsom, Daughter; Mary Frances Folsom-Roussel & husband George William "Chip", Grandson; Patrick Allen Smith & wife Tonya, four Great Grand children; Jaden, Ally Grace, Talon and Darby Mae, Grand Daughter; Amelia June Stoneking, Great Granddaughters; Laila & Kali, Son; Brian Lee Folsom & partner Starling Powell, Former wife; Dr. Sarah D Folsom, Grandson; Dr. Larkin D Folsom & wife Erica, Great Grandson; Skye.

At 11:00 AM on Friday 29 August 2025 a Catholic "Liturgy of The Word" short Mass/Service will take place at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 2718 Overbrook Dr. Raleigh. Participants will be accepted starting at 10:30 AM. A Graveside service will take place at Raleigh Memorial Park, 7501 Glenwood Ave. Raleigh, NC 27612 at a later date.
