Bernard Bazensky, better known to his family and friends as Bunny, was born in Baltimore Maryland. His is survived by a brother, Allen. Bunny spent many years in Baltimore and relocated to Florida, where he spent most of his adult life.

Bunny worked as a design engineer for Martin Marietta Corporation, a company primarily involved with aerospace equipment. He worked for 35 years, retiring in 1988. In 1985, Bunny started his own tax service business which he named Bee Square Tax Service. He expanded and ultimately sold that business to his other employees in 2016.

In 2018, Bunny and Rose moved to Raleigh to be closer to family for health reasons. Rose passed away in March, 2019. He survived the remainder of his life relying on family and friends. Two lifelong friends were Tommy Gosch and Jimbo Illick, whom he enjoyed conversing with up to his last day. His ultimate care and wishes were fulfilled by two nieces and a cousin, Kathy Weaver, Rhonda Barnes, and Nicole Smith. He loved each and appreciated everything they gave him, mostly their love and attention.

While we are all sad, we are rejoicing knowing he is much happier and with the love of his life, Rose.

Hey Babe,

It has taken me a while to come and write this as I am still coming to terms that you are gone. I miss you so much. The day you and Rose left the beautiful city of Orlando, my heart broke. I missed our weekend brunches at Too Jays, our car rides to Cadillac to get the car serviced, grocery shopping and laughing while you rolled the scooter around, or just hanging out at the house watching the TV very loudly. You and Rose both made such a huge impact on my life and I am so grateful to have these memories to carry on. You both looked at me like a daughter and Payton as a granddaughter. You were both there for me when dad passed away and when Jon and I were going through a hard time on the verge of divorce. Your words of wisdom and encouragement helped me get through each day with a smile on my face even when I didn't think I could have one. I will miss you always and forever. Love you Bun. Give Rose Hugs and Kisses from all of your girls!

Bun, you were such a joy to be around at the office.  I feel so blessed that I was able to work for and just to know someone like you. I loved your stories and I loved all the times we all shared in the breakroom ....especially when we ordered Lai Lai!
When we came to visit you in the hospital, I would always remember you telling the nurses that we were all your daughters and they looked at me and I had to tell them that I was left in the oven a little longer than the others lol.
Thank you for the opportunity to be on your team, thank you for the happy memories, and thank you for all that you've done and for all the love that you have shown us over the years. I will never forget you.
Have fun with Ms Rose and I shall see you both in Heaven some day
Love, Nadia

WOW !!!!! Just a week ago we lost Bunny. He was one of my best friends for years. We played to together, golf together, parity for years. We called each other weekly. After Rose passed away he lost his world. Will miss him so much. Please say a prayer for Kathy for the tender care she gave him and did so much for him always.

Bunny you lit up a room and made doing taxes fun. We were blessed to have had you in our lives, even if it was just for one day a year. Your smile, laugh and love for all things will always be remembered. Rest in peace, friend. You are missed.

A man who had a growl in order to hide his tenderness. You provided an opportunity that lasted 16 seasons, and you helped me like a true friend does, in so many ways.
A man with a heart of gold and a man who loved God.
This is not goodbye Bunny.......it’s until we meet again.

Bunny was one of my mentors but most of all my Friend. He was like a second father. He was there for me when my husband passed away. He was there for me when my daughter struggled with a rough pregnancy but had my Granddaughter Payton which Bunny and Rose claimed as their own . It was Uncle Bunny and Aunt Rose. He has been an important part of my family for almost 20 years. I miss his laugh and I miss when he would call me Babe. I loved his stories. He could tell some Good Ones. How he survived before he met Rose, the love of his life, I will never know. She was his rock. Now they are together again, and I know he is smiling down on us. I love you Bunny and will miss you more than you will ever know.
