

Billee LaVerne (King) Conard (79) passed away peacefully on March 8, 2024, following a long battle with cancer, at home surrounded by her loving family in Raleigh, North Carolina. Billee was a beautiful, fun loving, caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. She leaves behind her devoted husband of 58 years, Eugene Conard, two daughters, Terry (Conard) Phillips and Kimberly Conard; three grandchildren, Courtney (Phillips) Wilcox, Carter Phillips, and Corbin Phillips; and two great grandchildren, Henry and Mason Wilcox.
Billee was born in California and grew up in Monmouth, Illinois before marrying Gene and sharing a wonderful life experience living and traveling around the world while in service of the US Navy. They continued their love of travel for many years on RV trips all across the United States. Billee explored creativity and passion in the arts through quilting, leaving behind an award winning legacy of quilts. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren brought her absolute pride and joy.
There will be a graveside memorial planned in a few weeks time for the immediate family. Her family thanks all friends and family around the world for the support and continued prayers during this time.
