Don Eugene Nunn, the son of Aaron Thomas and Frances Nunn was born January 22, 1953 in Wayne County, North Carolina passed away on June 13, 2012. Don loved his family and friends and would help them anyway he could. He was a friend to all.
Don loved NASCAR so much that he talked his way into several areas at the track including the pit where he met Dale Earnhart. He also had the chance to drive a real NASCAR automobile on a certified NASCAR track.
Don is survived by his mother, Frances Nunn of Raleigh; daughter Morgan Ashley Nunn of Pittsboro, many cousins including a very special cousin and best friend, Wanda Nunn Dawson of Goldsboro, many aunts and uncles, and a very special friend, James Johnson. He is predeceased by his father, Aaron Thomas Nunn and brother, Thomas Allen Nunn and leaves behind many family members and dear friends.
The family will receive friends and family from 6:00pm to 7:30pm on Monday June 18, 2012, at Mitchell Funeral Home, 7209 Glenwood Avenue, Raleigh, NC. The funeral services will be held at 2:00pm am on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at Wayne Memorial Park, 2925 US Hwy 117 South, Dudley, NC 28333.
