Dorothy Ann Chin, 85, died on August 18, 2014. Dorothy was born in Staten Island, New York, and lived in Raleigh for many years. She was a devoted parishioner of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Dorothy loved to cook traditional Chinese dishes for her family, and made many of her recipes from memory. She was a wonderful mother and homemaker who dedicated her life to her four children and family.
Dorothy is survived by her four children, Michael Chin, and his wife, Debi, Patty Chin, Mary Ellen Perry, and her husband, George, and Thomas Chin, and his wife, Gretchen.; five grandchildren, Michael Chin, and his wife Jessie, Brian Chin, Frankie Chin, Christopher Perry, and Jacob Siemion; and three great grandchildren, Amelia Chin, Colin Chin, and Jack Chin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frankie Chin.
A visitation will be held from 11:00 – 1:00pm, Saturday, August 30, 2014, at Mitchell Funeral Home, 7209 Glenwood Ave, Raleigh, NC. The funeral service will begin at 1:00pm. Interment will take place at Raleigh Memorial Park.
