Woody was predeceased by his brother Thomas (Tommy) Maynor Bucher and nephew Todd Curtis Bucher of Ft. Mill, SC. He is survived by his sister Dorcas Bucher Stapleton and husband Daniel of Raleigh; sister-in-law Linda Radcliffe Bucher and her children Kristen (Shawn) and Gretchen (Joe), and their children, all of Ft. Mill, SC and his beloved aunt Anne Drake Maynor and cousins Catherine Maynor Reid, husband Marshall; Thomas (Tom) Cortez Maynor III, wife Erika and children; and Clayton (Clay) Perry Maynor, wife Beth and child.
Woody graduated from Broughton High School and Campbell University. In his early years he worked as a local home builder and in later years at Capital Outdoor Advertising. He traveled through Virginia and the Carolinas managing billboard placement and content while listening to his favorite '60s and '70s rock and roll music. Woody was an old soul who loved all things Retro, he even described himself as being Analog not Digital!
In his retirement years, he spent more time at home raising and playing with his loyal companion MoJo and also spent time with lifelong friends as he could.
The family extends gratitude and love to longtime friend Royline Womack (John) for her support and devoted care for more than thirty years.
Woody relied upon his faith in Jesus Christ, especially in recent years as he faced health challenges.
