Born December 10, 1968, Faith is survived by her parents, Lynn and Faye Eury of Raleigh, North Carolina; sisters Leigh Eury of Charlotte, North Carolina; and Beth Eury Davis, brother-in-law Steve Davis, and nephew Jack Davis all of Richmond, Virginia. She also has many aunts, uncles and cousins in Catawba and Stanly Counties of North Carolina who had a very special bond with Faith. She also leaves behind her beloved Papillon dog, Henry, who was her constant companion and the joy of her life.
Faith had many friends and family members who were inspired by Faith’s good humor, kind heart and gentle spirit. She grew up in Raleigh, North Carolina and graduated from Needham B. Broughton High School in 1986 and from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill in 1990 with a degree in political science.
Faith most recently worked as a communication and development consultant. Her previous employers included the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond and Capital One Bank. During her communication career, she received an Award of Merit for Feature Writing in the IABC Best of Virginia contest. However, her proudest achievements were as a community volunteer. After being diagnosed with Hodgkin’s disease in 2009, Faith organized a fundraising team, “Faith’s Hope,” for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Light the Night walk in Virginia. “Faith’s Hope” was the top fundraising team in Richmond in 2009, raising more than $16,000 for blood cancer research in two years. Faith was named Light the Night’s Volunteer of the Year in 2010. She spoke publicly about her battle with Hodgkin’s disease and the importance of research in finding a cure.
