I can't think of a more poignant reminder of just how special Mrs. Hayakawa was, than for a brief acquaintance to recall her special talents and gifts of humor, humanity and compassion some 16 years after last speaking with her.  I'm sure she is raising hell in heaven, and that she would forgive me for saying that.  Rest in Peace, Mrs. Hayakawa, I am thankful to have known you.

To the Hayakawa family - Your mom was wonderful vibrant women who shared her enthusiasm with everyone she met.  She was loved by many. Our deepest condolences to the whole family.   We will keep Flo and the family in our prayers !

What a shining light your Mom was.  I for one was envious of her enthusiasm for life.  I think of her every time I put in my earrings and see a bowling alley!  Thanks for all the good memories associated with being your neighbor in Hawaii.
