Franklin was born February 16, 1953 in Eustis, Florida, to the late Clayton and Wynell Golden. Frank spent his early childhood years in Florida before relocating to Raleigh, North Carolina at a young age. Frank cherished his time in Florida, visiting often throughout his life. He went to Sanderson High School (1971) and Campbell University (1975).
In addition to his wife, Kathy, Frank is survived by his six daughters, Rebecca Shapiro, Erika Brooks, Margaret Ann Annunziata, Emily Faubion, Erin Nickelson and Jacqueline Vargas. He is also survived by his brother Thomas Golden; niece, Tyler Golden and numerous grandchildren.
A graveside service was held Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at 3:00 pm in Raleigh Memorial Park, 7501 Glenwood Ave, Raleigh. Rev. Craig Gaither officiatied.
