Gladys was a lovely woman who meant so much to her family. As a mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she will be sorely missed.
Gladys is survived by her daughter, Kathy Schmidt and her husband, Doug of Raleigh, NC; grandchildren, Kevin Schmidt and his wife, Susan, and Julie Byrne and her husband J.B.; and great grandchildren, Jacob, Emily, Samuel, Anna, and Nathan.
Gladys is predeceased by her husband of 66 years, Anthony P. Dovidio; parents, Ralph and Alice Johnston; sisters, Rose Alfred, Dorothy Ferguson, and Pearl Estes; brothers, Robert Johnston, and Ralph Johnston.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Mitchell Funeral Home, 7209 Glenwood Ave., Raleigh with visitation being held one hour prior, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
Private entombment at the Raleigh Memorial Park Mausoleum will follow at a later time.
