Raised in Bronx, NY, Hank was a decorated WWII veteran who served in the Pacific Theatre. He worked professionally in the grocery industry as a butcher and department manager in New Jersey and Florida. Following his retirement, he and his wife moved to Raleigh to be closer to his daughter and family.
Known for his sense of humor, love of travel and sports, Hank was a devoted family man and grandfather. He was a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church in Cary, NC.
He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Marie W. Feder; daughter Evelyn F. Pizzolato and husband Jack of Raleigh, and granddaughters Sarah and Susan. He is predeceased by two brothers, William and George.
Visitation with family will be held from 1-2 PM Friday, October 30, 2015 at Mitchell Funeral Home, 7209 Glenwood Ave., Raleigh. Visitation will be followed by a Memorial Service at 2PM at Mitchell Funeral Home.
