James M. Hill, 85, peacefully passed away into the presence of his Lord and Savior on July 27, 2010. He was born on March 16, 1925 to Sandy Vernon Hill & Hettie Wiggins Hill of Youngsville, NC. After his graduation from Youngsville High School, he went to Raleigh to drive a bus for Carolina Trailways. James thoroughly enjoyed his time as a bus driver, even arranging with his supervisor to drive a busload of draftees to their medical exam at the Army and Air Force Recruiting Station in Raleigh, when he was also required to report. He found his true vocation in fertilizer sales. He retired with 30 years from International Minerals & Chemical (IMC) where he would proudly state that Rainbow & Super Rainbow Fertilizer would give you the best return for every dollar spent fertilizing your crops. James was a faithful member of the Berean Sunday School Class at New Hope Baptist Church.
James is predeceased by his wife of 50 years, Evelyn Young Hill, and a brother Vernon Hill. He is survived by two sons, Tim Hill & wife Christie of Wake Forest, Steven Y. Hill & wife Brenda of Raleigh, Loving grandsons, Brandon (Karen), Marshall (Elizabeth), and Brooks, and a great granddaughter, Katelyn.
