Shelby “Jane” Proctor Scaringelli, 65, of Durham, NC passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family. Jane was born October 2, 1956 in Wake County to Mary Jean Shelby and H. S. Proctor. Jane married Carl J. Scaringelli, and together they had 3 children, Kimberly Davies, Michael Scaringelli, and Sam Scaringelli.
Jane was a domestic goddess who enjoyed supporting her children and all their many extracurricular activities. She was an active cruise and Barry Manilow lover. However, she most enjoyed spending time with her dogs.
Jane is survived by husband Carl Scaringelli of 46 years; brother Richard Proctor; children, Kimberly Davies, Michael Scaringelli, and Sam Scaringelli; and grandchildren, Shelby Jones, Clay Jones, and Oliver Jones. She is preceded in death by her mother Mary Jean Shelby and her father H.S. Proctor.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, September 2, 2022 from 1:00 pm to 3:00pm at Mitchell Funeral Home at Raleigh Memorial Park 7209 Glenwood Avenue, Raleigh, NC 27612.
