

The daughter of Ernest and Marie Russell Lintern, she attended school in McGraw before moving to Homer, NY and joining the class of 1950. She was a member of Homer Methodist Church.
Years ago she sang with two of her sisters Lois and Agnes as the Lintern Sisters Trio and sang with local big bands. They were also showcased on radio station WKRT and became quite popular all around central New York. Her family was very musical.
Jean was very proud to be the matriarch of 5 generations who enjoyed her family especially watching the comical antics of her 22 month old twin great-great granddaughters. She enjoyed playing piano, bowling and golf years ago and hunting for treasures at garage sales. She retired from SUNY Cortland ASC Corey Union snack bar after many years and enjoyed taking care of the kitchen at Homer Avenue Methodist Church. She continued to volunteer at her senior residence home where she lived in Raleigh and helped with the food shuttle and library.
She is survived by her daughters Donna & Paula Burns (Tom), son Christopher, grandson Jeffrey, great granddaughter Sydney, great-great granddaughter twins Luna Grace and Quinn Alexandra, her sister Agnes DiLucci, former husband Paul Stoker, Brother-in-Law Dwight Short, son in law Greg Burton, nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her daughter Lisa Burton, her sisters Doris, Lois Millerand Jeanette Short and her brother Ernie.
There will be no memorial service, however, contributions may be made to an animal charity of one’s choice.
