Lauren Maria Jenkins

Lauren Maria Jenkins, 17, passed away as a result of a car accident which happened on Friday, March 17, 2017. Born on April 5, 1999 in Davenport, Iowa; she was the daughter of Kristina Harms and John Jenkins II. Lauren attended Leesville elementary, middle and high school and was active in competitive cheerleading. She was a ray of sunshine and touched the lives of many.

She is lovingly remember by her family and friends, including her mother and step-father: Kristina and Steven Harms; father and step-mother: John and Andrea Jenkins; by her siblings: Zachary Santangelo, Nicholas and John Jenkins III, Blake and Erika Harms and Alexandra, Mariah and Christian Mark Ivan; by her grandparents: Yvonne Feller, Verlyn Feller, Bob Combs and Janice Jenkins; by her great-grandmother: Betty Ely; and by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, John Jenkins, Sr.

Family will receive visitors on Thursday evening from 6-8 pm at Mitchell Funeral Home (7209 Glenwood Avenue). Funeral Services will be held on Friday, March 24, 2017 at 3 pm at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church (4415 Pleasant Grove Church Road).
